We will deliver the following projects:

Business Watch Training Forum

HammersmithLondon is dedicated to making Hammersmith a safer and more secure place to do business.

If you are a local business, we would like to invite you to attend this event aimed at tackling relevant business issues such as staff security and shop lifting. Business Managers, Store Managers, and Security Staff would all benefit from attending this training forum.

The event will feature talks and professional training from police and security staff. The event will also be a valuable networking opportunity and a chance to establish relations with likeminded businesses in your area.

The forum will feature:

  1. Advice from area crime prevention officers on how to reduce shoplifting and increase your bottom line.
  2. Presentation on the Safetynet radio system and how it can be used to stop crime and anti-social behaviour.
  3. How to report crime correctly and target harden your store.

Improvement and expansion of the Safetynet Radio S
cheme

By increasing and expanding the current two-way radio communications system, the BID will deliver a well co-ordinated, well used and well managed service with quick response times to radio requests.

HammersmithLondon will provide radios to additional businesses over the life of the BID including pubs, restaurants, retailers and offices.

Safetynet radio aims to cut shoplifting for retailers and increase security information sharing for local businesses.

Crime awareness campaign
The BID will develop a crime awareness campaign in conjunction with the Police, retailers, pub/leisure operators and offices in order to increase the awareness of crime and safety issues, ultimately aiming to minimise the number of victims of crime in the BID area. Messages will be targeted at, but not limited to, illegal minicabs, bag snatching, personal safety after dark, underage drinking, terrorism, and fraud.

Crime awareness packs will be distributed to businesses with the aim of reducing the threat of business crime. The packs will contain crime reduction information, a list of business services and important contact details.

Additional BID CCTV operator
HammersmithLondon will be recruiting additional CCTV operators to monitor incidents occurring solely within the BID area. The new operator will ensure a dedicated response to Safetynet radio and CCTV requests. The operators will provide valuable information and support to assist in criminal convictions.
